Trauma-Sensitive Yoga

What is trauma-sensitive yoga and who is it for?

Also known as restorative yoga, trauma-sensitive yoga is for all levels and ages. We humans all carry trauma, and without truly allowing ourselves to feel it in the body and mind, and journey through… the trauma builds up and can cause aches, pains, and even diseases.

Trauma-sensitive yoga provides a safe environment and invites you to… explore your five senses, rebuild your relationship with your body, and helps you feel empowered to regulate your own nervous system.

Often practised in and around a chair, expect gentle guidance rather than instruction. I incorporate meditation, breathwork, reiki energy and sound healing into the slow meditative yoga flow.

Such a gifted teacher and a unique practice 💫

“Francesca is such an authentic, gifted and generous yoga teacher who developed a unique practice which I love!
Her grief healing yoga sessions feel like a warm embrace as she holds safe space for every student to have the opportunity to share their vulnerability.

The restorative yoga flow enabled me to deepen my practice, connect with my body and meet my emotions - which I really needed.

Going through stages of grief myself, I find it difficult to meet my body, mind and soul in a genuine and kind way.

Francesca’s classes are so healing for me. She has created a supportive, caring and non-judgmental practice.

Thank you.”
